The same clock on both sides

Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick all keep Atlantic time. They change their clocks on the same Sundays. Clocks go forward at 2 AM on the second Sunday in March and back at 2 AM on the first Sunday in November. Crossing between them changes nothing on the clock.

Hours on this site are local Atlantic time as each venue publishes them. A watch set in Halifax or Charlottetown shows the same numbers in Moncton.

Staying the night in Moncton

Casino New Brunswick joins a hotel, a casino and an entertainment and convention centre in one long building. The hotel has 126 rooms and suites. Check-in starts at 4 PM and check-out is by 11 AM. Guests must be 19 or older to check in. Children may stay, but they may not enter the 19+ areas.

Each room takes up to two cats or dogs, up to 50 lb each, for $40 a night. Parking is free on site and included in the room rate for hotel guests. Shows play at the Molson Canadian Centre, the casino's concert venue. Tickets are sold only through Ticketmaster, and the box office opens 90 minutes before showtime. Shows are all ages unless an event says otherwise.

Slots run Sunday to Thursday 10 AM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 3 AM. Table games open at 2 PM and keep the same closing times. The casino is not open around the clock. Holiday hours should be checked on the venue's own site.

What the door asks for

Casino New Brunswick admits guests 19 and older with valid government photo ID. A driver's licence, a passport or a provincial ID card are the examples it names. Guests who look under 30 may be asked for a second piece of ID.

Atlantic Lottery products, including ALC.ca, carry the same age: 19+ to buy, play or redeem. So the number at the Moncton door matches the one on ALC.ca.
